Some bad names on server

I don`t know for you my friends but it`s make me feel so bad when some guys come on server with very bad names and nobody wont ban them or tell them to change name.

Names like Hitler or Adolf Hitler are offending names for few milions people in world and we all know what that person done to world.

I was forced to leave game more then once because i didn`t want to play game while those guys leave server or change name. The sades thing was that none player on that time was on my side, all players leave silent and continue to play with them. All they said to me was "by by" like i was doing something bad.

I just hope that bad names in future will be better filtered because this is only game and should stay that way.

I don't care if they use names of people like Hitler, as long as they don't act like them or start provoking. In whatever which games you play, you'll find people who want to play with the name of Hitler or others. There also persons that are a hero in their own country but for other countries they are the devil. And if I like to play the Axis, am I offending some persons too?
I don't want to start a conversation about what is politically correct and what not. Probably it depends also of my age. The war is not really fresh in my memory. I've learnt a lot about it, but in a different perspective than the persons who lived in those times. If we still lived in the time of the Romans, my name would be offensive too...

If someone starts to behave like such persons or honouring him, then there should certainly be reacted. In the other case... I don't know. It doesn't bothers me, but who am I...

I agree with Hanni too and like his this is my personal view too. But i must say we never had a ban policy about names like that in our server, probably because of the things Hanni mentioned above.

Lets see what other members think and if it turns out that me and Hanni have a worng view about this things we can do something about the rules.

Nice talk my friends but i see double rules from SiG to some players.

When i started to play on this server i started with name Radovan Karadzic just for fun reason without any wishes to offend somebody. I was kicked off in first few minutes because off my name. I learned my lection and changed my name in Krokozon because i`m here for game in first place.

What is easy job to do? Discus is some name offensive or not, or just be god player and friend and pick some neutral name. Friendship mean sacrifice from both sides.

Ok, I understand where the problem is.
I remember having kicked a person that had a name that offended someone. There was a player that was heavily offended because his family had been murdered by that guy. So I asked the guy with that name if he could change his name, just to keep the other guy calm. He changed his name in something else and the other guy was even more offended and other players were offended too. So I kicked that guy. But the other guy was still complaining, so I kicked him too. I understand someone can be offended, but when they stay complaining even when it is fixed...
If you would be offended by the name "hitler" or something else and you can give me a good reason, I would also ask the guy to change his name.

So at the moment the general rule is: as long as the name is not abusive, then it is ok. If someone is offended by the name and he has good reasons for it, then we will ask to change the name

I took it as a joke , thinking that Lady Dark has killed hitler ... hahahaha is funny,,,, is only a game, otherwise the story is another thing diferent...

why you play in the axis was the battalion hitler of the Nazi policy? if you get to think very seriously so this would not be a game

=S|G= has pretty-much always had a name policy that if the name is a name of someone that did something bad in history... Not a big deal, it's a game.

The only way a name was made to be changed was if the name had any kind of curse word (swear word, whatever you call it). Then the player either had to change, or be kicked.

There was a command in the server for a while to change player's names... Not really sure why I took it out though.
