I'm sorry that you think like this.
As you say the good old days are gone, it's an old game and this makes it hard to compete with the newest games. It's not obvious any more to have a full server and lots of activity.
Also, many of our members are leaving because they have other priorities in their life (which is completely understandable). With the few of us left, we try to keep the server alive for you, the players that still want to play a sniper game like in the good old times.
It's easy to blame us to let the server die, but we feel it as a lack of respect. The fact that the ban list is still active proofs that we are still in the server, trying to protect you against abuse. We try to organize matches, but the number of participants decreases every time (and often people don't show up or too late). A month (or 2 months) ago we tried to organize a match, but the interest was way too little. The goal of that match was to look for possible new members, but how can we find fresh blood when there is so little interest? It's really motivates us...
We are really sad to see this happen. It's also sad for those few players who are still motivated and who we have to dissappoint because of the lack of interest.
And the public section is for the regular players, it's not our task to keep it alive. The public section is another source for us to find new members and to learn them know. Of course we will participate in the discussions, but why would we when we notice that there is no interest. For example, the reason I can't play the last few weeks is that the game doesn't work well on my new pc with windows 7. I have reported that 10 days ago. Did someone react to try to help me? Only Che... I can't believe that nobody else uses windows 7...
Anyway, we don't give up and we will continue to do our best to keep the server alive. However, this is not possible without the help of the regular players. Personally, I'm also looking forward to the new mohaa game that is coming out this year. Maybe it can be a start for a new era.
