Airborne the second

Hi!

My PC shuts down when I put the Airborne CD in the player.
Microsoft says this is a problem with a video driver from a TV-card.
I have delete this drivers, but always the same.
And the wonderful thing is that now my personnel settings, some files and other things are destroyed.
Also the PC starts not with my profile, he starts with a temporary profile, what ever this is.
When I install over windows explorer, after shutdown and restart, then I could install.
But when I would playing then is always the same.

Ok.

1. I put the disc in the cd-rom
2. cd rom starts
3. PC shut down
4. PC restarts self
5. Say me that large mistake was
6. I send the message to Microsoft
7. Internet explorer opens and I see what MS say. Say it is driver conflict
8. I delete the drivers
9. I open the Windows Explorer and make the installing from this place
10. Airborne will be installed.
11. I start the game
12. PC shuts down
13. Restart
14. Now no message
15. then all personnel settings away and some files.
16. When I start the PC says me that the user account is damaged and start with a "temporary user".

I create to remember that EA games is very demanding with according to which Card graphical, before buying the game to watch that Cards accepts, and watching that Card graph have in the PC.

really, so that the new medal works good you must have a PC monster mainly and the graphical Card, and DX9 minim.

- the game that doesn't work

- your user account that is damaged

Can you get in your account (via the temp account) ?

Yeah, i know that both are a problem, but which do you want fixed first?
If you don't care that you lost your personal settings, then we don't have to find a solution for that.
But I think you do, so my question was if you could reach your files via the temp account? Coz if you've put your files in a "personal folder", you can't get in from other accounts. Before you start changing things to repair your account (if possible), I would first backup your files (and settings). You never know what can happen. So you need to reach them.
Personally, I actually would reinstall windows, coz even when you can repair it, I think there will still be things not right and sooner or later it will show up and you're in trouble again.

i did a complete re-install to try to cure my problem but still spearhead not working

i installed Airborne first and then all of the old game and still spearhead will not run
i am convinced that it is a problem with the graphics driver Nvidia 7600GT have downloaded the latest drivers from nvidia with no luck so i have had to resurrect one of my old PC's to play Spearhead until they get the drivers sorted out.

All i know is that people with Nvidia had major problems with the game when the demo came out.

You could try installing older drivers (1 of the previous releases of the drivers), because GTX and Ultra have problems with the new drivers. Eispecilly beta drivers.

As far as i'm concerned i didn't have the smallest problem,so i started the game the 2 days ago and today i'm in the last map which is tricky 'cause it has more more than 8 different objectives to complete.Also i have 7 weapons fully upgraded which makes my game easier.OH!If you fully upgraded the Springfield it turns into a grenade launcher!!!! But you can revert it back by pressing the alt fire button.I dedicate my performance in the game to those of you that have problems running the game.Next time i will tell you my feelings after i have finished it.Until then...GOOD LUCK!

Today I could install Airborne without any problems...

The reason why I could not install.........soooooo simple...

I have must install XP new after the shutdowns....and I have not activate it...

because I must always phone with microsoft....I use the OEM version not on the original PC....

and this is always a expensive procedure...and I was a little lazy

this was the reason that I have not all updates for XP.........

but today I have phoned and activate.........and download all updates...

and now it works without any problems...
