hi all

like lady dark told me to put up a big big topic, so here it is.
this evning entert the game takes me almost 2 to 2 half minits to enter.
once in it takes 5 to 7 sec per shot even when i jump i float in the air lol real funny.
so if any of you know any ideas please do put them down.

pc info.

pen3 2600 2gig ddr
geforce 300t.

250 raptor disk.

by the way i do use modes that i still have from TBA time.
but according to redvers who made them , they should work at S|G to.

so this prob is now keeping up for 3 days i gess.

thx in advance

Twisted Evil DeZee is right. Probably the biggest difference is that we dont allow no fog and full screen scopes Very Happy

About your problem Nami .... is your ping higher too? If it is then either your connection got messed up or sometihng went wrong on the connection from you to the server (that happens sometimes, but it always gets fixed) if it isnt then i dont have a clue what is wrong Wink

Yep that can be one of the things that can make ping go kuku. In my time playing i have stubled over a few more so i will just list them here and maybe one will ring a bell:
    1. I had a spam virus it was sending out massive emails through outlook at random times and it made my ping jump and fall until i got disconected by my provider hihihih as
    2. On the path from me to the server some lines were repaired and that is where the ping went skyrocket high and it got very laggy(you can see what is going on if you go on: Start - Run - write in cmd - click OK - write in tracert and IP of the server without the port - hit enter. You will see where the time goes high so you will know where the problem is)
    3. I get ping and lag when i download stuff and play and the same time.
    4. I got ping and lag when i was running msn and skype on my old computer while i was in the game.

If i think about any more reasons that happen to me i will write them down Wink

There was one more, but that one affected all that were on the server and that is that a server can be laggy and with high ping, but i did play play without problems on it so i doubt its that Razz

Hi nami

just for your info, you may have a seperate IP for each PC but i suspect your Bandwidth is still the same as it would be if you had 1 IP address, you are still for example running 4 PC's on a 2 MB DSL connection not 4 PC's each with 2MB DSL speed. so if 3 of the PC's are running p2p software they will be taking up a lot of bandwidth causing you to have a high ping.

Red's idea of rebooting your modem/router is a good one i have know that fix a few speed issues

hope this helps

It only takes about one minute to reset the modem.... On mine.. I just shut it off.. and then there is a little reset button on the back.. very tiny and inset, so I had to use a pen to push it. I held it in for 10 seconds then restarted and, Voila! it worked just fine. This came about because they are installing fiberoptic lines here.. where I live, I can't get the those lines, but the phone company was messing with all the lines, and I was told it sent a "burst" through the lines and affected my modem.. Still am not sure what exactly happened, and why they didn't warn people.. but well, that's a communications company for you.. they suck at communicating.. LOL

Hi Nami,

which provider do you have? Belgacom, Telenet or other?
I have Belcacom at home, so if it works fine for me...it isn't the provider...

What Allan says is true: you have 4 pc's on the same line, so they still share bandwith. With Telenet it is the same thing, all modems are connected to one big line, so if a lot of people in the neighbourhood have Telenet and use it a lot... I don't know if Telenet still has that problem, but a few years ago, when a lot of people started to use broadband internet, it was a big problem.

Greetz,
Hanni
