| Hi all
I have a problem: I just put 2 memories of 1 GB (2 GB total). I had a 512 MB first and the game run just fine but after I install that memories the game run very bad. The system configuration on my PC looks like that: CPU: Intel Pentium 4, 3 Ghz Memory: 2 GB Video Card: Nvidia GeForce FX 5500. 256 MB Hard Disk: 2x80 GB
Unfotunely the first game with that new memories was the =S|G= Christmas Match and the game run very bad plus some connection problems. My PC is set for the best perfomance.
Why the game run so bad with 2GB and with 512 MB run just fine? Always has interuptions in the game.
Can somebody help me?
Thx Ady.ro |

| how much space is left on your hard disk? by increasing the memory in your pc you automatically increase the pagefile on the hard disk, could be your running out of disk space, also try a defrag on it 409 | |

| Maybe you touched another component in your pc while placing the 2 GB. I suggest that you check if everything is still fixed in its position. Are you also sure the 2 GB are installed? Does your pc say it uses 2 GB?
What was the speed of your old memory and what is the speed of your new memory? I don't think this will be the reason, but you never know... | |

| Hi I instaled SP3, i cheked the internal components to see if everything is ok, i reinstall the driver for network adaptor and now I want to reinstall the drivers for motherboard but is a long list of drvers on the official site. This is the list of drivers for my motherboard and I'd like some help from you to tell which drivers can i install: http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=1&prod_no=158Motherboard is MSI MS 7060 The memories are the same because i buy them in the same time from the same provider. I'll run the memory test. The fact is that after all the actions i tried my PC works very bad and slow. If I reinstall all drivers for motherboard and the result is the same my only option is to reinstall Windows again. Thx all very much for your help. Ady.ro |

| i have had a quick look at the manual for your motherboard and you should not need to go into the bios unless you are overclocking, as the bios should detect your memory type and automatically set the clock speed and voltage to match the memory installed. there is a memory compatability list mentioned in the manual it may be worth looking at that to see if your memory is listed as ok. Also try it with just one of the new sticks of memory if it work ok then the one that is out is most likely to be faulty if not swap them and try again (process of elimination) see if that works but the memory test should identify any errors. 409 | |

| i found this informaton about the memory on your motherboard: Main Memory • Supports two memory banks using two 184-pin unbuffered DDR266/333/400 DIMM. • Supports up to 2GB memory size without ECC. Due to the High Performance Memory design, motherboards or system configurations may or may not operate smoothly at the JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council) standard settings (BIOS Default on the motherboard) such as DDR voltage, memory speeds and memory timing. Please confirm and adjust your memory setting in the BIOS accordingly for better system stability. Example: Kingston HyperX DDR500 PC4000 operates at 2.65V, 3-4-4-8, CL=3. For more information about specification of high performance memory modules, please check with your Memory Manufactures for more details. here is the link to the site i found the info on. http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=661FM2-LSRGreetz Snake | |

| Hi
I look at the memories and they are Kingston MPXD42F - D8HT4, 3-4-4, CL=3, 3.2gb/sec, 2.5v. Now I have to set the values in BIOS. Not a long time ago I had some problems with CPU overheating due to CPU's cooler issue and after that I installed a program that was reading the sensors in mb. The program is Motherboard 5 and he was showing CPU, system and case temp reading the sensors in mb. Yesterday I unistalled that program and the computer runs much better. It looks like MB5 was messing with motherboard and slowing down my PC.
Anw I want to thx everybody for your help and to tell you that I learned a lot from your advices. I hope that after I check the bios settings for memories everything should be ok.
Thx again to all and I wish you and your familyes MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.
